Pokanevych Alexander V.
President of Kyiv Medical University UAFM
Pokanevych Alexander V. is the successor of Pokanevych Valery Vladimirovich. He was born on June 27, 1981 in the beautiful city of Zhytomyr. He chooses to be a doctor under the wise guidance of his father. When it came time to choose an educational institution, He studied at Medical Institute UAFM (in 2009 renamed to The Kyiv Medical University UAFM).
In 1999-2005, he studied at the Medical Institute UAFM for the Postgraduate education of Faculty of Medicine. Pokanevych Alexander received internship with a specialization in family physician (2005-2006), and in 2006-2008 he studied internship with a specialization in orthopedic trauma doctor.
But that was not enough for Alexander V, so in 2006 he joined the Ukrainian Academy of Public Administration under the President of Ukraine where he secured a scholarship and earned a Master of Science in International Policy on Health and Management. As a future leader, Alexander V. attended lectures (classes) at Harvard Medical School and Tufts University which are part of a consortium with the University Brendiz. His subjects were: International Economics in Health, Advanced Cost-Effectiveness and Benefit Analysis, Healthcare Management, Operation, Strategic and Financial Management of Health related organizations, Monitoring and Evaluation, performance measurement and quality in health services.
Despite the prospect of America, Pokanevych Alexander decided that he is still not enough experienced in health care. His mind was eager to European knowledge. He was the first student in Ukraine who has received a grant to study in Europe for the Erasmus Mundus program in the health sector.
In the field of employment, the talents and ambitions of Alexander V made him to reach sky heights, for instance, He started his career as a future leader of the University from the position of executive director (2003-2006) and then director of the (2006-2008) charitable organization "Blahomed. "In Kyiv Medical University UAFM, Alexander V. began his career as an inspector of International and in 2012 took over the reign of University in his hands.
With the help of high level of education and experience, Alexander V. Pokanevych set university to a new direction with an optimistic slogan: "We begin the path to Europe from this university!"

Mist Yushchenko was born on December 16, 1936 in the city. Kyiv. In 1966 he graduated from the Kyiv State Medical Institute named after O Bogomolets with specialty in pediatrics. From 1966 to 1973 he worked at the Department of Pharmacology of the same institute as an assistant and associate professor. Since 1973, he worked as deputy head of education, then Chief of staff Education and social development of the MOH.
In 1991 he became the professor of Pharmacology at National Medical University and in 1993 he was the Head of the Department of Pharmacology, Clinical Pharmacology and Pharmacy at Medical Institute UAFM, Since 1996, he is Rector of the University and became Head of the Department of Pharmacology, Clinical Pharmacology and Pharmacy at UAFM MI
His research interest is in the field of cardiovascular drugs and scientific justification for use in medical practice and effective means of traditional and alternative medicine.
He is the author of 320 scientific works, including 4 patents, 13 monographs and textbooks.
He was awarded with the Badge of Honor in 1985, Diploma of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine in 1986, State Prize of Ukraine in 1986, and the Order for Development of Education in 2002.

Vitenko John S.
Details- Vitenko Ivan Semenovich was born on October 24, 1948 in Kyiv region in the family servants. In 1966 he graduated 11 classes from Losyatynskoyi high school. From 1966 to 1968 he worked as an electrician in Kyiv grids. From May 1968 to June 1970 passed compulsory military service in the Moscow Military District.
In 1971 entered at the Kyiv University for study. In 1976 received qualification as psychologist. From August 1976 to April 1977 he worked as a research fellow of the Research Institute of Psychology at psychological diagnostics laboratory.
He was the director of Central methodical study of higher medical education Health of Ukraine from July 1992 and on August 27, 2013 resigned from office at will.
Vice-rector for educational work
Matthias Mikhail, an MD and associate professor, born on 05/24/1958 in the village of Svidovets Bobrovick area near Chernihiv region. He graduated from the Medical Faculty of the Kyiv Medical Institute in 1981 with specialty in medicine.
From 1981 to 1982 GG studied in residence at the Kyiv City neuropsychiatric hospital. From 1982 to 1990 he worked in various positions in health care facilities. In 1992 he defended his thesis, and in 2012 completed his doctoral thesis.
He is the author of more than 100 scientific papers, received in 2009 a patent for utility model. In 2009, he was awarded the title "Honorary Doctor of Ukraine." He is Vice-Rector for educational work of the Kyiv Medical University UAFM since 2013.
Vice-Rector for International Relations, therapeutic and educational work
Megeda Vladimir was born on 18/11/1948 in the village of Gently Verhuny Pereyaslav in Khmelnytsky Kyiv region. He graduated from the Military Medical Faculty of Kuibyshev in 1977, majoring in "Medical prophylaxis", and in 1985 he graduated from the Military Medical Academy in Leningrad with specialty in medical support.
In 1998 he was awarded the honorary title "Honored Worker of Health of Ukraine", in 2003 awarded the Order of Daniel Galician, and in 2009 the Order of Bogdan Khmelnitsky III degree.
On April 1, 2013 he became the vice-rector for International Relations and educational work of the University and on 24/01/14 he became the head of general hygiene, social medicine, microbiology and immunology.

Name- Overchenko Irina Antonivna
Overchenko Antonivna Irina was born in the city of Kyiv on February 20, 1947. In 1965 she graduated from secondary school of Kyiv. During October 1972 she worked as a teacher of Russian language and literature school. In 1974 she was forced to leave the teaching job at school. In October 1975 she worked as a journalist in a press center Holovkyyiv miskbudu. In 1992 she moved to work at the invitation of the chief Educational Department in the National University of "Kyiv-Mohyla Academy".
Since 1994 –she is the director of the Educational Department of the KMU UAFM, executive secretary of the selection committee.
Saranchuk Olesya V.
Saranchuk Olesya V was born on May 9, 1980 in the city of Kyiv.In 2002 she graduated from dental faculty of the National Medical University. From 2002 to 2004 she held an internship at the department of orthodontics prosthetic dentistry and orthodontics at NMU. From 2005 she worked at the Department of Prosthetic Dentistry and Orthodontics Kyiv Medical University UAFM as an assistant. She became Secretary of the Academic Council of the Faculty of Dentistry at 2008.
In February 2013 she defended her dissertation on orthodontics and received the degree of Candidate of Medical Sciences. Since September 2013 she is the Associate Professor of Prosthetic Dentistry and Orthodontics in Kyiv Medical University UAFM and actively involved in the work and life of the university.
